American Invasion!

March 28, 2012 ... Czech class at Cafe 87 and American Invasion on British Night at Belmondo!

What an amazing teacher we have for Czech language class.  Katerina took us to Cafe 87 to have breakfast and we had to use our newly acquired language skills to order our meals.  It was fun and entertaining all at once because the guy who works there (maybe the owner?) knows all of us and speaks English fluently but he played along and made us order and answer in Czech.  I did pretty well if I do say so myself.

Elin and Caleb waiting for their orders and our instructor working in the background.
Lisa loving the fact that we get to eat during class at Cafe 87.
Here is my lovely breakfast.  I would tell you what it is in Czech but I have no idea how to spell it.  In English: Forest Fruit Pancakes with Chocolate Syrup and Whipped Cream.  YUUUUUUMMMMM
Ann and I loving our class that day.

There is a club here in Olomouc that hosts a weekly party for the Erasmus students.  Each week has a different theme hosted by a different country.  This week it happened to be the British that hosted the festivities.  We all got ready and painted our faces with American colors ... they really are the same as the British but who's paying attention to that?  Here are some pictures from our adventures that night.

Courtney was the face painter that night.
Elin and Alyshia couldn't help but make faces here.
Evan is all ready to go!
Elin and I on the crowded bus.
We were greeted by Harry Potter.
 Abby, Hayley, Lisa, and Katie.
Yolima and Caleb, everyone was ready to have fun!
Courtney even assisted the DJ that night.
 CHEESE!
 Midnight surprise ... Spice Girls!
Group photo: Gokce (our flatmate), me, Yolima, Viridiana, and Elin.
Jed showing us some skills ... on the pole.
