After a great weekend traveling to Prague and Dresden, we are now back in Olomouc relaxing and going to classes. Nothing better than a new restaurant at lunch today. I do love the culture here when it comes to meals and especially lunch. You take your time, order off the menu or the lunch menu that has daily specials. They are generally cheap and include a soup, main dish, and sometimes dessert. The best part is that is usually costs only about $4.50 in US Dollars. The largest meal of the day in the Czech Republic is lunch, so it is always filling and it takes a while to eat. Lunch is generally a two hour long ordeal. Love this about this culture!
Enjoying some mixed beers. (Dr. Clark, Laura, & Ann)
Elin laughing at something ... this is normal.
Smile! We're at lunch! (Laura & I)
That's a lot of meat Caleb.
Geez, Evan ordered it too!
My yummy lunch. Tasted like pot roast with carrots and other veggies and dumplings.
Lisa trying new things and being brave! So proud of her!!!
We decided after a long trip that we needed a movie night. However, there are limited resources for movie watching here. So I downloaded the movie "Midnight in Paris" onto my computer and we put it on the chair in front of my bed and we all watched it together while enjoying some popcorn and M&M's.
Caleb is really excited to be there, he really is.
We did have a small interruption in our movie watching. We got a surprise concert given to us by Viridiana and Karen. Watch and enjoy!!!
These random moments have probably made my trip the most enjoyable so far. Making new friends and having new adventures, there is nothing like it. Being a single mom, I do not get the opportunity to just go do things when I want to anymore and this has been a great way to get back to myself after everything that has happened these past few years. I think of this trip as a rebirth for myself and ultimately it will make me an even better person and a better mother for my son.
