May 26, 2012 ... Paris, Day 1
I went to Paris!
It wasn't an easy trip. I had went through Student Agency and gotten my ticket. I rode a train to Prague (3 hours) and then caught a bus in Prague to take me to my bus that would take me to Paris. That bus ride was 16 hours long. At least it was comfortable and my round trip cost was only $50!
I met up with Ann and her son Andrew when I got there and they guided me to our hostel.
My first views of the Eiffel Tower!

Later that same day, Elin and Yolima arrived!
They brought flowers with them from Holland.
While in Paris, the metro is your key form of transportation.
I knew how to navigate it like a pro by the time I left!

We grabbed some food and decided to picnic like everyone else and waited for the Eiffel Tower to be lit.
All lit up!
Watch it sparkle!
We wanted to see the Moulin Rouge but were unable to get tickets for a show while we were there.
We made our way back to our hostel and called it a night ... so far, I think we did an excellent job exploring Paris for our first day there! The metros smell but I hadn't encountered a rude Parisian yet.
